Only someone who loves animals can understand the feeling of loss when something like this happens. We love them, they are our children, these pets of ours. A bond sometimes stronger than the familial develops. When one passes the emotions can be as strong as when a parent or child dies. Rocky's gone but, as you said, he lives on in his children.
